“This picture shows the light trail of the ISS during a flypast over Genova (Italy), on June 6th 2013.
To minimize the reflection of city lights, multiple short-exposure photos have been taken in sequence. Later, these photos have been superimposed.
A Nikon D5100 was used, with a tripod and a remote control.” – Loris

This week’s #CatchLuca features pictures of the ISS – all from Italy, Astronaut Luca Parmitano’s home country! I’m so glad to see participants continue to send in photos from all around the world. It’s especially exciting to see individuals participate from Luca’s home of Italy!

"Picture was taken in Aosta, north-western Italy (on the border with France and Switzerland) on the 20.24z pass. During limited visibility passes (this one was just 2 mins) I avoid tripod, and try to get stability by using walls, or balcony barriers to put the camera on. This one was turned out a bit shaky, but it has a nice effect: wall, gutter, roof and... ISS!" - Chris

It’s great to see people catching Luca with whatever camera and skill they have. Sometimes it’s hard to see but look closely. In this picture he’s the little light in the sky center of photo.
